A Literacy-First Introduction to Construction, Design & Building Trades

Powered by C.A.S.P. (Comprehensive After-School Program)
If We Build It; They Will Come is a literacy-driven program that introduces teens to the world of construction, design, and building trades. Blending reading, writing, and technical learning, this hands-on experience helps students build confidence while exploring real-world pathways such as architecture, engineering, safety, and skilled trades.
Designed for middle and high school students, the program strengthens literacy skills, teaches foundational construction concepts, and sparks curiosity through interactive workshops, design studios, field trips, and community build projects. Supported by local partners and industry professionals, students gain early exposure to tools, blueprints, safety practices, and career options—empowering them to imagine, design, and build a better future.

Program Motto: “We build confidence, one word — and one wall — at a time.”
